Fire Guts INEC Office In Anambra, Destroys Electoral Materials

Mysterious fire is ravaging the office of the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC, in Awka, the Anambra State. The fire which started around 2pm on Tuesday is yet to be pu off as sensitive INEC materials in the office was burnt.

INEC has given another chance

The  Independent  National Electoral commission INEC in Anambra state has declared  a six day period from 16th to 21st of January  for permanent  voter's card collection in 326 electoral  wards across the state.  Chinyere-fessy Okoye reports that the  Resident  Electoral  commissioner Dr Nkwachukwu  Orji who announced this during a meeting with  political parties  adds that about 650 ad-hoc staff will be deployed  for the exercise.
